Our story began in college, where we briefly crossed paths during our senior year. Kathleen went on to travel and seek out adventures around the world, while Tom settled in the Seacoast of New Hampshire.

Six years passed before we reconnected at our friend’s wedding in Oregon, where we caught each other's eye. Kathleen was drawn to Tom’s mischievous smile and sense of humor, while Tom was taken by Kathleen’s outgoing, friendly nature and how easy she was to talk to. The next night, we shared a meal and beers at a German restaurant in Portland with some friends.

Life went on, and six more years passed, at which point Kathleen returned to New Hampshire and chose Dover as her new home. Conveniently, Tom soon found a new home in Dover as well. After a few months of prodding from meddlesome friends, she decided to reach out to Tom once again to meet up in town for some beers.

What was meant to be a quick meetup for a beer stretched into dinner, followed by another dinner, and then another. Within the week, he was helping her move furniture for her friends. As we spent more time together, we bonded over a shared love for nature, lakes, breweries, and weekend adventures.

The next two years were filled with spontaneous date nights, weekends with friends and family, traveling around New England and a trip to Ireland and Scotland. It didn’t take long to realize it was something serious. In 2023, we moved in together, from there we created more memories, shared holidays and made our place a home.

Wanting to catch her by surprise, Tom proposed with Kathleen’s mother’s ring on a quiet Monday night after a long day of cleaning the apartment. It became even more memorable when it was realized that Tom had used the wrong ring. Whoops.

Almost a year later, a new home in Lee, New Hampshire, and a lot of planning done, we’re excited for you all to be with us as we add the next chapter to our story.
